Wait, we're still worried about that? Pshh. I thought we wanted to go back to the golden age, when quotes were used ALWAYS.
yes and no. Yes, quote help people know what other people are commenting on, and no, because it does take up space and can get a little bit too crammed, making it harder to actually read a post. I'm sorta neutral on that topic even though I violated that when I started posting on the forums again.
Umm why was my comment on Raphael’s chart flagged?
@Nautilus_Lightblast continuing the conversation from Talk All You Want....
I just double checked our precedence for this type of situation. Check this out, and check out the Member's Union link under it:
For the exact same thing, sharing of a DC tag, we demoted for 2 weeks. The rule against sharing handles to unmoderated websites is well-known and easy to find with due diligence. Were you aware of it?
I was unaware of this regulation, and will do my best to adhere to it in the future.
Thank you for your vigilant warning.
Thank you for hearing and helping keep the forums running well It may seem as though the rules posts are rather scattered around, but they are summarized here: https://forums.theaetherlight.com/t/welcome-to-the-forums-a-general-guide/7688/2?u=hanna_brassheart
@Cinnar_Ratchetloop I had to edit your post on Law 'n Order for brief mild language. I hope that you understand.
I--how is lord language? I understand if someone was using it as referring to THE Lord, but Lord is a title and also a common usage noun lol
I assumed, since it is commonly used as a profane reference to God, that it isn't allowed. I guess the weight associated with it varies from place to place, and personally I consider it slightly more innapropriate than other words that we sensor.
I agree with @Beckendorf_Direscope.
Hmm. If I say “Lord Haversham went to the inn,” I don’t think that should be censored. Miss Ratchetloop’s post seems to mix the swear word usage with the medieval title usage I have just demonstrated. headscratch
I made that edit at her request, since she told me directly that she wasn't using it in the reference-to-God manner.
She was addressing a lord? I thought she was using it as profanity.
She was not using it as profanity, nor was she addressing a lord, but she thought the edit would be funny to emphasize that she wasn't using it in a profane manner.
I would be concerned for the witness we are setting by allowing something like that considering social connotations.
Hey there @Hammerhead_Crinkleporridge , please do not double post, as you did here:
And here as a triple post
If you absolutely have to, please use SFTDP, ( Sorry For The Double Post), or SFTTP ( Sorry For The Triple Post).
Thank you
Sorry about that.
It's ok bro! We all forget sometimes! You're good
You're fine, man.
Ok . Ill try not to do that again.
