It just looks like Marvels gonna try to tie to many loose ends together in one movie, and also even just that idea that a random accident causes them to go the quantum realm seems a little far fetched, even for them.

Fair enough. I hope they don't clinch everything up with this movie, but I don't think they will.
I assume they're looking for a new jumping-off point for phase 5.

Yep Endgame was the end of Phase three, then four was just Wandavision, Loki, and stuff.

Well, actually it isn't just WandaVision, Loki, and What if?, there are the other shows too. Hawkeye, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Moonknight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk. (sadly those two are actually Marvel shows.)
There are also the movies, Black Widow, Shang-chi, and Eternals (which, yes, are all a part of Phase four), along with No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and even Wakanda forever is a part of Phase Four still. So there were actually quite a few movies in Phase Four.
And to be completely honest, I am realllllyyy looking forward to Quantamania, if only because I love Scott so much.
