Everything. The main characters faced relatable struggles and all grew through those struggles. The villain was sympathizable and his case for his deeds was convincing. The themes were deep and relatable.
The film was well paced with no unessessary side-plots or characters. It was the perfect balance of funny and deep.

I'm curious as to why people are saying the plot is lacking? I'm relying on my experience as an almost-published author and the hours I've spent studying story science and I didn't find the plot disappointing.

I guess maybe it's just the lack of major twists, but I guess that's not a necessity for quality plot-writing.

Also I may be spoiled by PJ's Lord of The Rings' length-wise. All other movies just feel so... Short.

I saw the movie just because how much you liked it @Emily_Purplebottle

I had much more fun watching this Thor movie than Ragnarok, and DEFINITELY better than Multiverse of Madness. (I'm still upset at how they wrote the villain and how the villain died. One of my favorite characters just written out of existence)

Love and Thunder was just plain funny at times, the "mission" was (maybe too...?) simple and easy to be invested into, the villain was one of the best, motivations-wise and acting-wise, and it resolved more things from Thor's past, while opening up at least two new avenues.

I will say though, the "political agenda" that @Beckendorf_Direscope referred to detracted from the movie, because it was NOT essential to the plot. Gratuitous even (please look up that word kids!) If you want to discuss this further, @ me in Law and Order.

Also, learning more about the gods and the afterlife was weird and confusing.

Ragnarok is unbeatable as my favorite Thor movie and maybe favorite Marvel movie ever.

I agree about the mission being straightforward.

The villain was definitely my favorite character of the movie. Also, I've never found Thor that relatable in the other Marvel movies, but this one was the first movie I really thought he was more human and connectable.

I've only seen WandaVision the whole way through, started Falcon and Loki, but fell out of watching those. I am interested in seeing Moon Knight tho...

Falcon and the Winter Soldier isn't worth watching my opinion. Definitely finish Loki, as they really work with his character in that series.

Moon Knight has a great story if you can get past the spiritual aspects, same with Ms Marvel, which just came out.

And Hawkeye is quite enjoyable, though I feel like it gets forgotten since it wasn't groundbreaking in the overall Marvel timeline.

Kate Bishop a member of Young Avengers in the comics, so she may be the flagship for other members to come together, such as America from Madness, Ms. Marvel, Wanda's two sons, Tommy and Billy, (aka Speed and Wiccan), Cassie Lang (Ant-man's daughter), and even Morgan Stark (Tony's daughter) could play a part.

Young Avengers is a movie / tv series I am very much looking forward to.

Exactly. I think the new movie might be worth watching, hmm, but Ragnarok I watched over and over again when I rented it. I love that movie.

Ragnarok is just so... cool. It's the definition of cool. Like if you looked up the definition of cool Ragnarok would come up.
