But isn’t that the point of expanding the political system? The alternative is Jacoby just implementing his ideas with no input from the opposite side at all.
Now I agree that it makes no sense as a permanent installation. It will be too cumbersome for the future and should be dismantled for future presidencies. But right now, we’ve got a spiritual, theological, and social division that needs to be healed. This is a Scriptural imperative:
Now at this point, I’m not pointing fingers, because at this point I don’t care who started it. I don’t care if it was Lil or Ari or Abigail or E3 or even me that started this mess. Or Jacoby or Caleb or Hans. Or Levi. Or anyone. Originally I thought Lil was the reason for continuing the division, after Abigail started it, but it really doesn’t matter at this point and I’m sorry for voicing that theory in front of everyone. My bad. If that theory is correct, they started it out of ignorance, and should we not have grace for ignorance? They are children. I forgive them.
The point is, is that all of us are in violation of these two verses, and some of us are finger-pointing. The point is that, it’s not about you, and it’s not about them, the “other side”, whatever. It’s about God, and God decided that all of us need to be here. Yes, we are all flawed, and we are all human, and we all have problems. We need to bear with these problems instead of using them as an excuse to hide ourselves away into like-minded factions.
Now obviously I can’t wave a magic wand and force Lil to get along with me or Ari to get along with Jacoby, but politically speaking, I think having input from more people into politics at this point is a flawed, human step in the right direction. I have expressed some concerns over flaws with this plan, and yes, it’s not perfect.
Ariella and Caleb ran on a platform to “restore the community, bring back unity”. That agenda cannot die with Jacoby’s rise to power, and I frankly agree with it. I voted for Jacoby because I believed he had a better plan to do just that, and so far, he has not proved me wrong. But it’s not about him, it’s about the plan. If Ari and caleb were organizing the same plan, I would be 100% on board, just like I was 100% on board with Jess and Lil’s emphasis on glitch reporting and the glitch polls. The sides and people aren’t as important as the quality of plan and the maintenance of truth.
