based off what you just show here without the reason i typed out next to it, yea.
no i wouldn't. I did not shoot my family and kill them, the people that came into my familys house and shot them are responsible. also the reason i said i prefer family to fall was because of this scripture i remind myself in my head...
Matthew 10:34-39 (KJV)
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
so when the time comes to choose God or family Because of our belief in Jesus Christ, i choose God.
no one is stopping them. they can still choose too.
Of course he did. In the old testament, God showed no love to anyone because of the time in the garden of Eden. The best thing God can do for the people that are chosen by him, was to tell them what to do, how to live and to be holy because he is holy. And people that are against him are to be killed because if they don't kill all of them, they will ether kill/slave the Israelite and/or turn them away from God.
it is not based on letting people live longer, it is based off people that are killed for the name of Jesus Christ will finally be in heaven forever and the people that did the killing or have not found God yet will still have time to find God in their life. the only time it is too late for them is when they are dead.
you do know that no one knows who will survive in the end and who will not, right? certainty in family's being completely wiped out, is not really clear.
hmmmmmm, 50 50 chance
i did not say that everyone i do not kill will get saved. i said that everyone i do not kill will still have a chance to find God. and if they don't, they won't have an excuse on me.
yea, just extending their life line. i wonder what God will say when you two meet. I don't know, but i will leave that with you two too discus when you meet him.
and i was really glad that you did. the replie i sent to you was me seeing that if there is anything that i have said was not right that you will be able to point it out for me and i will see if it is true, or if it is false.
but you do have a point about something you posted before...
i was wondering about that part. the right to defend themselves.
As we know, the old testament, Israelite was always at war with a different nation (also among themselves, but moving on.) and every time they cried out to God, he basically rises up a leader to lead the Israelite to driving and/or killing the nations that were in their land. and the time the Romans came, they expected God to do the same. but his time, it was not a man of war, it was Jesus Christ, a representation of Gods love for us. and the people some people were upset as we know because he was not doing the usual thing that happened in the old days. and Jesus said the he came not to change the law, but to fulfill it. So, the rules of the old testament did not really get wiped out, just transformed into a whole for other people to learn and follow Jesus example and the Jesus was a sign of love for all people, even the Romans who were ruling them.
i know i said this a lot by now, but i'll just do it anyway, i do not want to kill because it is a sin. but of course, Israelite did killings in war and i don't think that the sin applies to them and since the time Jesus came, we were not really encouraged with anything to do with war. but then this war happened...
Israel against 13 countries, out numbered more then 3 -1. the battle seemed to be with in the favor of the 13 countries, but got defeated in 6 days. 6 DAYS. They still have the fighting side in them and the only way they could have pulled that off was that God is still with them, i don't think that they have commit killing as a sin. I want to find out when the killing people as a sin does not applies. Israel defended themselves against the people that wanted them wiped out and won. i want to see how. i asked my dad this question, and he said that he is going to do some bible study because i asked him the same things you told me, and he wants a clarification about this subject as well in when is it right to kill but in self defense. he asked me to ask our paster of our church and Doctrer Rask (he spends hours reading and studying the bible and he is able to see deeper detail into the bible). I'll be searching too for the answer, but it will take weeks. If any of us find anything that will help with the decision you said that you will do, i can let you know, if you are interested or i can keep the findings to myself or anyone here that wants to know. because if there is a chance that what you are doing is right, i want to take it. All good bro?
i am doing this to clear off any mistakes that i may have in my head and see if there is something i can learn. i don't want to go around saying what i am and find out that i don't have the whole truth or that i have deceived others and myself.
