As for me, personally, I don't accept other people's ideas? (depending on the person, obviously). I accept that they can have those ideas. Freedom of religion and speech after all. But if I could press a button to simply eliminate opposing beliefs to the Bible at its base, I would. Wouldn't you? This is beyond Conversative, Liberal, Republican, Democratic, etc. Because those terms change in time. As you said, politics isn't what it was, and things like it are always subject to change. So if you could press that button, wouldn't you?
Either way, "stirring the pot" or bring up subjects like what you may be referring to- yeah, not a good idea. Especially when the people who are discussing it are generally not very well-versed on it- or like the argument here is, why we shouldn't be discussing it on the forums here. But people who know about more controversial topics and actually handle and discuss them in a civil way- I think they should!! Not specifically here, obviously. I stand with the point that more controversial topics shouldn't be discussed based purely on the fact that the discussion itself would be inappropriate. But the point I'm trying to get across is that bad subjects, handled by the right people, can create good solutions.
Anyways, I'm about done ranting this haha. Anything more would probably just be repeating what I've already said. That was a good go haha.
