It's Scary!

Haha, nice. I have a VERY vivid imagination, which is good for writing and art, but it ain't fun. Every time I was alone in the dark when I was little I had very awful self-induced visions: as seen below;

This could freak some people out.

I would imagine a demon-like creature stabbing me and ripping me apart from under my covers, and if I had to walk down the hallway to get to my parents room, (Usually after I had a nightmare, which was way ore common then they should have been) I would imagine (Honestly, it was never on purpose) a swarm of demon-zombie-ish creatures grabbing at me from below the balcony. I am not scared any more, but I still have a pretty hard time being alone at night. Even if it's not that dark, mostly because I know demons are real.

Yes, such things are real, but so are angels. Here are a few thoughts to comfort yourself with.

According to the Bible, when Satan was cast out of heaven, he took a third of the angels with him. However many fallen angels there are, twice as many still serve the Lord.

You would also do well to remember this.

Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

If you are God's child, then there is nothing that those things can do to harm you. God has set His Spirit and His angels to protect you. Those things in the darkness may scare you, but remember this, that's all they can do. None of them would dare lay a hand on God's child.

I know, but sometimes it seems like all my fears are just like leeches, sucking on and never coming off. It's hard, I know, but trusting in God is always the best solution.

Leeches come off; it isn't easy, but they do come off.

I used to be afraid of the dark until I read in a book that seeing in the dark is only a matter of practice. I put the idea to the test and discovered it was true. I can't read in extremely low light, but I can see enough to get around.

Wow, interesting. My eyes can get used to the light, yes, and I do not mind being alone while it is dark, but if I lay and dwell on my fears, it becomes unbearable. And that analogy for fear (leeches) Is a very good one. Thanks for this.

@Ava_Tinnight1, huh. Honey bees aren’t usually aggressive.
@Eerie_Coppernight, I have no idea. It must have gotten in through the wall or something.
@Julie_Martin, I’ve has recurring instances of imagining the same creepy things. It’s difficult to think about something else most of the time, but it usually wears off. Every time it happens I just pray, ignore it and don’t let it continue to play out. Weird, I guess, but it happens. Instead, I imagine Jesus holding me with a shield around both of us.

Depends on the breed of honey bees, we’ve had both aggressive and passive breeds before. You are correct that they usually don’t bother people though.

I can like normal ones. But one's with no eyes, a smile, and some missing limbs that you find in the attic when your getting down Christmas decorations. EEP!!!! No no no!!!

Actually, it's the normal ones that get me the most.
I sort of blame my mom for making me aware of their existence. Though, for that matter, it was just her telling me about how scared she was of them. So I guess that kind of backfired.

Yeah, probably.
Though I don't really consider myself an expert on dolls, so I wouldn't know exactly even if you named them haha.
Rest assured, if I have kids, dolls are one thing that they'll have to live without.

I recently watched a show where there was a clown playing eerie music on a mobile calliope and was trying to shoot people. I strangely found it funny.

@Xonos_Darkgrate1 never watch A Boy in striped pajamas. It has a couple creepy doll scenes among other things.
