~The Viper~
I gasp. Did I really hear...
Brzz Brzz
"Hello?" I answer my communicator. "Yes, I just recieved the message. I will dispatch my men to take care of it. Thank you."
I stare at the button on my communicator, take a breath, and press it.
~Lilliana~
Rex and I were just about to enter the base with our rebels, when our communicators start beeping, it was an emergency.
We open the door to the base, all of the Imperials are filing into the main office, Ophelia walking down the hall.
"What did you two do?!" She looks at our prisoners.
"They were dissembling some autos, so we arrested them," I tell her. "What's going on?"
"Just lock them up, and hurry," she turns and walks into the office. Rex and I take the rebels down and lock them in a cell, then run back to the office.
"We intercepted a transmission from an unknown group, they said that there is a bomb underneath the sewers. We have less than a week, and I have people locating where the message came from," Ophelia tells the officers. "We need to locate the bomb, see if we can disarm it, and keep the citizens safe. Rook will be assigning positions, we have to hurry."
Ophelia walks towards us and points to the door, Rex and I follow her out.
"What were you doing?!" She glares at me.
"I didn't want to do paperwork, so I went with Rex," I scoff.
"I didn't want you leaving the basket! You aren't ready!" Ophelia hisses.
"I am, I defended myself against those rebels well enough!" I plead.
"She could have taken them on by herself, she isn't as helpless as you think she is," Rex starts to pipe up. I see Ophelia get that look in her eye as she turns her head towards Rex.
"I can take care of myself!" I intervene. "Send me, I can disarm the bomb."
"I'm not going to send you on a mission like that!"
"Then send Rex with me, please, we can do it. Now isn't the time to argue, we don't have much time. I know I can do this, let me show you."
