How often do Automatons spawn?

I'm in ep.3, and the quest that I'm on says to retrieve Jefferson's spanner, but I already killed the Giant Scorpiston. Any idea how often it spawns?

As far as I know, it never respawns.

You should have received it by default if you've killed the scorpion. Have you checked your inventory?

Basically means you broke the game, and did something that the developers didn't expect.

This is probably the solution though, haha.

For the first time of returning it (When he is in the hole) you get it automatically after defeating the Giant Scorpiston (Which never re-spawns), the second (And I think basically all times after that) time it should be laying on the ground near Jefferson's mission board. Hope this helps! :0)
