How many full things of aether can get the junkyard open? :)

So can I check? Does it need more than one person to put aether in? Seems a bit dependent on the game being played by a lot of people all the time.

Yeah, I've been trying to get in the junkyard for a week and have dumped tons of aether on the great engine. The engine is full, but the junkyard fog gate is still closed.

The entrance never pops up for me. You just have to run up to the gate to see if it's open. But like I said, the little orange arrow is invisible.
