Hey everyone! We have updated the community guidelines of the forums because we noticed how vague they were. The rules are in line with how the forums have already been running besides one thing that we think will keep everyone safer.
Don’t Link to External Sites
Forum users should not link to sites that are not official Aetherlight sites or these posts will be deleted. External websites can still be discussed openly in the forums as long as they meet our safety guidelines. This ensures that the forums are not enabling users to go places that they do not have parental consent to enter.
On the forums, we cannot allow links to external sites. This is because the Aetherlight team cannot guarantee the safety of any site besides our own. We are responsible for what happens here and not on other sites. We think it would be the best decision to avoid posting all links in the forums besides those that are official Aetherlight links such as links to other forum posts, a blog post on the website, the redeem code page or anything else that is officially from the Aetherlight.
When it comes to any other sites we think they should not be linked. This does not mean that players are not allowed to talk about other websites, in fact we think it is awesome to see everyone share their hobbies with the community, but external sites should not be linked to avoid situations where any community member could end up somewhere they do not have parental consent to go to.
