I didn't mean to offend you, Sno. What I meant by saying that cats are often selfish, is they tend to pull you out of whatever you're doing and make you attend to them. If you ignore their requests, they scratch the furniture until you grant them their desire. (or maybe that's just my cat . . .)

All the same, cats are wonderful!

As someone who can now communicate with the feline world, courtesy of @Xonos_Darkgrate1's alien translator, I will verify this as actual fact. However, preliminary observations suggest that cats may be subject to deviations in personality, thus meaning that some cats maybe be merely exhibiting independence and confidence, while others may be more inclined to selfishness or laziness.
