Something I've noticed after reading all thirty eight posts in this topic, it honestly does no good for the forums.
Almost every post here has the same message:
Is it really profitable to toss about the "Who wants to be a moderator?" question? I know this topic is more then a year old, but reviving it won't help anyone.
Who will be chosen next to be a moderator? No one knows. In that light, why discuss it? Yes, the prospect fascinates us, however, if you truly want to become a moderator, you're not going to achieve it by raising your hand and asking for it.
It's fun to image being a mod, I'm guilty of that myself, but why do you want to really? Is it to help the forums or to have authority in this community? If you're genuine desire is to maintain and care for these forums, then you don't need moderating abilities.
You want to change rules? Pitch questions! You think something could be done a better way? Speak up! You don't need 'community moderator' beside your name to do it.
You want to make these forums a better place? Do it from your stand point! Otherwise, you have no need of that power.
If you believe you'd manage the moderating system well, if you believe you're capable of it, then the moderators will notice you without any attention gathering on your part. If they haven't already, maybe you don't posses everything you thought you had.
Will there be any more moderators besides Jacoby and Iliara? That's none of our concern. Let whoever is chosen be chosen, and know God has better plans for you.
