I shake the radio up and down, hitting it a couple of times. âI knew I should have replaced the batteries ages agoâ I think in my head. A urchin looks at me in concern and fear of the possibility of her care taker being taken away from her. She starts to tag my suit and I look down at her. She asks âis something wrong?â I look at her, blank on how to answer her and the only thing I could did was silence, then replied âIâll donât know. But Iâll find outâ. Cracks on her face start to show in sadness as she thinks of the worst and tryâs her best not to cry and places her hands in her face to cover it up. I kneel down and placed my claw gauntlets in her shoulderâs, patted her right shoulder to try in a way comfort her. she responds by opening her arms and wrapping them around my neck, weeping as she lets her sorrow out, letting out a wail, her hands gripping onto my coat and feeling her heart rate increase as it goes on, making it difficult for me to keep in my own sorrow. I freeze for a while in shock, before I look at her head that has dug into my shoulder before I slowly close my arms to embrace her as I place my hand on her head, patting her as I kneel under the tree that is in the middle of the Town square, surrounded by pieces of automatons that are covered in ether fire, ice of earth elements from when I destroyed them to protect her when she came into the Town Square, looking for me about Miss K. I let her go, but she grips harder on, so I carry her back to where the urchins live well avoided more patrols.
I see the kids stand up as they see me approach to the metal create, putting her down on top of it and watching her wipe her tears away, sniffing her nose, but I bring out a wipe from my coat and hand it to her and she grabs it then blows her nose and cleans her face up. I look at the kids as they stare at me, all dirty and starving looking. One of them asks âwhat you going to so misterâ. I look at the kid and replied âfigure out how I am going to take care of you until I get K back, where ever that isâ. One of the kids whine as he sits next to the fire. âShe has been gone for 2 days, the only time she is away that long or even longer is if she is captured by that mean commander Sharp Gaze or being with one of her friends. She use to always be with use until people like you took her away.â He stands up and walks up to me in frustration and letâs it out in a foul mood âIâm sick of people like you taking her away from us. You put her in danger more then anyone of us can. She is gone from us because of you. And she does nothing for you, no nothing. And you give things to her, look after her, giving us things and yet she gives nothing for you. Why do you want to help people that do nothing for youâ? I kneel down to his level, looked at him in the eyes, taking my beret off then removing my mask and googles, showing my scared face, he steps back and gets the Willyâs, then I answer âbecause before, I use to do what you have calmed. I did nice things for people like her, hoping that all they had to do was be a friend to me. But for them to be a friend to me is up to them to decide. Wether they use what I give as a tool for them to use before throwing it away to go after something else is up to them to decide. Or if they want to stay even if I have nothing left to give is something I take as a sign that they will be a friend for me till the end of the line. The only thing I care about when people are in need of me, is that I will answer, even if they have nothing for me. I am not a friend to people in this world in hope of gaining, but that it is giving me the chance to give. If they want to see that, is up to them. If they want to just admire it before their needs change to something else is up to them.
She helped me get my parents out of the Fog Workâs with Erik and Eerie, tagged along with Unknown to save me from Commander Prideful, visitâs me at my home when she finds the chance to do it, tags along sometimes through out my day just to spend time with me and the first person who was willing to be a friend me. None of this I asked her to do, yet she did it for me, and you are telling me that she did nothing for me? What have you done for anybody in this place besides yourself? Now, you can ether suck it up, man up and help me into telling where she could be or you can keep silent with everybody else as I take everyone on the street here to my parents house to get you all cleaned up, eat up and stay with my parents until I get your guardian back. Deal?â He looks at me very stiffly, with a tear in his eye and silently replies in a more calm tone. âShe is not just our guardian mister, sheâs the only friend that is much older then us we haveâ. I remove the claw gauntlet on my hand along with my glove, gently placed my hand on his face then used my thumb to wipe his tear away before I stand up, put my glove and gauntlet back, placed my mask, goggles and beret on my head and replied to him âgood.â I look at the kids that stare at me and I speak âI have to take all of you to my familyâs house, get you all clean and feed before I go out and look for K. Take what you will need and put them in her metal box, hopefully she wonât get upset that I am using her house as a portable luggage bag.â All the kids start to rush to their places around urchin Grotto, grabbing what they can as they put it in the box, i use my hammer to get the earth to carry the chest as we move out, hoping that the guardian of this place will return in one piece.
