Filling up the Great Engine in Engine Bay? Also, Aethermeters/gems?

Hello!

So, I would like to fill up the Great Engine in Engine Bay with Aether (so I can get sea flowers, but that's besides the point, lol).
I tried to use the Aether in my Aethermeter, but it tells me that "something's missing". I don't recall having to add a part to the Great Engine in Town Square/NML in order to fill it up...does filling up the Great Engine in Engine Bay require season 2 or an item I can't acquire yet? I am finished with Episode 1 and its story quests so I assume this is the case?

Also, can someone tell me how I can get more of those purple Aether gems that go into the Aethermeter when you craft it? Is this another thing that has to come from a quest?

To answer your first question, Yes, I believe in order to start filling up the Engine Bay meter it needs to be repaired by an item in a later season (Though you can just ask us on the forums to help fill it up as many of us have already completed the quest and Engine fill shares among everyone. Though, to be fair, I don't know if it shares with people who have not completed the quest, though I think it does.)

To answer your second question, Collecting any extra Aether crystals is impossible. As of the update, there are other forms of crystals, (Like sapphire ect.) but none are Aether, and therefore, none can be used to build other meters.

Oh. I guess you can get others... apparently I just haven't ever seen them. I'll remember that for later.

You fill up the Aethermeter by picking up Aether which can be found by picking up scraps, helping urchins, and other occasional finds.

Filling up the Great Engine in the Bay requires you to place an Aether Receptacle upon it, which you do near the end of Season 2.
