I couldn't find a better spot to put this, but this may be a similar issue. I've already sent a few requests in to support with no answer.

I'm in the same 'Team Edmund' quest, but I cannot leave Edmund Shipping after giving the Aether Boiler to Edmund. He installs it on his ship and leaves. I have dialog with Irving, then with Julian. Both tell me to go to the business district, but I can't leave! I use the ( possible spoiler ) airship communicator to leave the area, but the quest resets back to installing the fog injector on Edmund's racer.

I already have the homing ballon in my inventory, though Julian tells me to get another one from the crates. I've done all side-quests up until this point, so I'm kinda stuck...

Also, may be related: the whole racing scene is glitchy. The camera pans to various views and I see explotsons/fireworks but all the racers are stuck in place.

Running this on macOS Mojave.

After I give Edmund an Aether Boiler, his ship leaves the dock. Then Irving says that the Aether Injector must have crashed in the Business District because of the automans. The quest tells me to retrieve the Aether Injector. But when I try to leave, it says Event in Progress Please stay in room. If I use the ship to leave the racing pit, the quest restart. Am I just supposed to wait for something to happen? Or do I have to get the homing balloons from the crate near the ramp. If this is the problem, then either the game glitched and they aren’t their or I already took them. Could someone help me with this?

I can’t leave to retrieve the injector after Edmund leaves after installing the boiler on his ship. Can someone help me with what I do, or do you just wait there?

Someone asked me about this last week. When I played, it did not work, but randomly one day it was completed.
(after about 2 weeks)
It worked before and after also, so I don't know what could be the problem. It just didn't work.

Well, after a few weeks of waiting there was finally an update! Launcher is on v1.6.3, game is v3.2.207. Chat interface is nice, but is displayed by default after moving from one area to another.

I digress...I'd hoped after such an update the aforementioned quest would finally work. It does not. Very disappointing. I"m still experiencing the same issue: can't leave the garage after Edmund installs the Aether boiler.
