I know of four locations for dream cubes, but I haven't found any in the slurries yet so that makes at least 6 then.

How many dream cubes does one require to make all the items that have them as ingredients so far?

So, I have not found a dream cube in the north slurries yet either, I feel like I have searched everywhere for one. Nor have I seen anyone say, 'yes I definitely have and here is the exact location.' Is there actually one, or not? Or is this a glitch? Or have I just completely missed it along with the others here?

I made myself a map to help me find the Snowglobe machines, nests and cacti easier. Didn't think to add the Dreamcubes to it though.
Probably would have been smart of me to do so haha.

I might be wrong, but I think I remember finding a Dream Cube on the top of the 'railway line' near Jefferson's Camp. Anyone correct me if that's wrong. It may help you, @Rufus_Ditherheart1
