Continuing the discussion from Don't forget! :
I was thinking about the forums and the game last night and I just couldn't believe where it is from the time it all started.
I remember the first time I ever logged in the game. Running down the pathway at Engine Bay to find Lukas's Tesla hammer, crafting for the first time. After completing the mission, I remember saying to myself, "This is a good Christian game and it's going somewhere." I did all the missions in the demo episode in about a week. After that, I begged my parents to let me get the other episodes. (My dad said I could if I mowed the lawn. I became the official lawnmower after that. )
Memories of @Arona_Copperburst1 becoming my first Aetherlight friend came to my mind last night. We would log on and walk around Urchin's Grotto seeing what was up.
I remember fighting the goats Below Decks with @Nora_Wrenchfizz1 trying to get Rose's hard to grab toolbox. (It was for us at least. Bucktooth was too good. )
The memories. The meetings. The hubbub over waiting for the arrival of a new episode. The forums. Man, oh man, the memories on the forums. The extra quests and prizes Lady Pancake would give us.
All three years of my time being involved with the Aetherlight came back. I felt the same feeling last night as I did when I first started playing. A feeling that I know everyone has received.
I say all this because I know we're all wondering when Episode 4 is going to come out (or if it ever will). For some you guys the game is, but I know that most will be leaving as we are all getting older. Yeah, that's bound to happen, but still, don't give up on it, guys. It's bound to come out eventually whether it's in two years or nine.
The game we love is still alive.
And for those who will leave and won't be back to see it don't forget the lessons we learned, the fights we fought, and the love we shared as a community. We will never forget the memories we had. Again, don't forget this.
Onward for Aethasia and the Scarlet Man!
