While it might not seem like a great deal to you it was a great deal to Etlo.
We all just have to remember just because something doesn't affect us personally doesn't mean it doesn't affect anyone else. I'll try another example that is closer to this issue.
I have mentioned it before but I used to have dogs, one of them I grew up with and from my perspective he was a brother to me, we were the same age. He had to get put down along with his Mum because they had too many health problems and they were suffering.
As a result, I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to dogs and any sort of harm to dogs.
If someone were to put in a story something about a dog being attacked by a person or about a dog being killed it would get to me. I'm old enough now to deal with that, I know it's just a story and I know it's not real but to someone younger, they might not be at that point in their life that they can accept that and will not be able to deal with their emotions like adults can.
This is really an exercise of using Empathy, I was probably about 13-15 when I was taught what empathy was, I had never heard the word before.
For any who don't know what Empathy means it is basically the practice of understanding and sharing another person's feelings. It is about accepting someone else has different views and beliefs than yourself and imagining what they could be feeling if you were in their shoes.
Sorry for the long post but I don't want to diminish what Etlo was feeling by saying one sentence wasn't a big deal because it was to him.
