(OOC: Oh, boy. Here I go, LOL. I don't know if I'm supposed to be doing anything particular, or where I'm supposed to be. For your reference, my character's name is Nola Applequill and she is a middle-type character. She's been on her own ever since she was a young girl. She'll learn to work with the detectives soon enough, but for now... We'll see. )
Nola Applequill stood in the cold mountain's breeze, thinking about her newest alias, "Aurora Griffinrider". Anyone in No Man's Land would have thought that's an absurd name, but Nola was just trying to be safe by making her alias something incredibly different than her real name. In fact... No one except herself knows her real name.
It had been quite the trip all the way from No Man's Land (where she went by "Ariel Darkheart") to the crisp mountain atmosphere. Breathing out cold, visible air - so visible, in fact, to look like piping steam - , Nola continued her arduous trek. I have to find that Artifact, Nola resolved in her thoughts.
Her head was hot with sweat, but her entire body shivered in the freezing winter. Nola had always thought it was funny how the human body can do that.
Wait. Except for the fact that she's not human.
Nola tried to clear her thoughts and continue trekking up the mountain.
"There it is!" breathed Nola, thoughts quarreling with themselves due to the nearly unbearable cold, "The Artifact! It looks like it's made up of a few key parts... I should get to my ally on this."
