I hope you don't mind me using this @Xonos_Darkgrate1!
Well, to start, last Saturday, we got to the place we were staying at. We got to the check in place and waited for my mom for what seemed like hours. (But my mom bringing cookies out to us helped a bit.)
When we got inside our rooms, all of us kids noticed there was a TV in every room. (We don't have a TV at home so for my family, going somewhere to where there is one is like giving us bags and bags of candy.) They had some pretty good cooking competitions so I watched that, along with some basketball, hockey, baseball, football...pretty much every sport. The only sad thing was that when I started watching Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, we had to go somewhere. Right in the middle. When we got back they had A New Hope running, but that was half over too. AND the Hobbit. I think they were playing more SW movies, but they were running at like 4:00 AM. (They really need to schedule at times i wasn't busy or sleeping.)
The next day, Sunday, we woke up pretty early and got ready for church. It was really cool. The speaker told us about how churches were in colonial times. (Since the Revolutionary War is my favorite time period, I was really interested.)
Sunday afternoon, we went down to Colonial Williamsburg for a scavenger hunt. (If I haven't said yet, we are in Virginia.) Surprisingly, we tied for first place. (I give all credit to my dad for that win.) The best part of it all was the random section you could try to do for extra points. One was to walk up to a stranger and play rock, paper, scissors. If you won best out of three you got 2 points. (I did it for our team/my family and we won.) I got a video, but can't post it because it had me in it.
Here our some pictures my sister, @Molly_Lightboom1 took while we were there that afternoon. (I wasn't in a picture mood. I was concentrating on winning the scavenger hunt.)
I believe Patrick Henry made his famous "give me liberty or give me death" speech right there on the balcony. I wasn't too sure exactly.
I always can tell when I don't take a picture. My finger is never in the lens. (Random building. )
Buildings: (I think these were taverns)
More buildings: (I didn't know this until we got there, but every building has to contain a certain amount of brick.)
The steeple to the State Capitol building. (I think. There were two look alike steeples. I'll get back on this.)
Haha! We had to get a picture of a farm animal besides a horse. (There are a TON of horses and carriages.) I finally found some sheep.
MORE TO COME!
