The two blinked, looking away with a slight huff from Hyde.
"Don't say we didn't warn you."
With a quick motion, Henry slipped a vial of the red liquid out of his pocket and drank it down, being sure to set the glass a safe distance away. He closed his eyes, relaxing as much as he could while dreading and anticipating the pain. He could feel his heart beginning to race, it's rhythm beginning to fluctuate between two opposing beats.
Then came the pain.
Henry let out a gasp as he felt his entire body beginning to constrict and reform, crushing and changing his build into the lither, shorter frame of his counterpart. He clenched his teeth, willing himself to stay silent as the changes continued. He was feeling sick, that dreaded twisting feeling in his stomach and chest.
So familiar... yet so dreaded.
Another wave of bone-crushing pain tore through him, and he let out a short cry, his legs giving out from under him. He clutched at his lengthening hair, tears of pain dripping down his cheeks.
It's o-o-o-K-ANGH.... Ok d-Doc....I-it'll be o-o-over s-s-soon....
Henry felt his grip on the world sliding, and he didn't try to fight it. He could feel the shift deep within himself, Hyde slipping into control as the world tapered into blackness. He let go, glancing up at the startled girl's face in apology before slipping into his shared mindscape.
