Meanwhile, I lost 50 Rapid rating points two days ago, lost an OTB blitz tournament by only winning 2 out of 10 games, and even though I beat an old chess computer from my childhood that used to pulverize me, I can't write a PGN that Stockfish will accept for that game and I'm still debugging it!

Life is great! I'm totally on the way to being the first actual female world champion!

It's not that bad. I went 1 for 4 in a chess tournament against 1800s and 1900s (USCF) in an OTB last weekend. My only win came against the National CM I mentioned before. I was able to take away a lot of motivation from my loses and I think that's actually what's motivating me now.

At least you're playing against 1800s and 1900s. That's better than most of us do.

I just don't post in this topic because there is still nothing to show. The learning process for me is filled with failure and speed bumps.

Basically, playing Stockfish is playing a group of computer programmers with access to every game of chess that ever existed. You're playing multiple humans at once, and basically the combined intelligence of humanity on chess since the beginning of recorded chess. Only God can probably beat Stockfish 14.
