Zerek listens grimly as Emman describes what he saw.
"So Zerek," he saluted, "what's the plan?" Without responding he turns and jogs toward the steep bluff that rose up on one side of the island, the one that shielded the island from view and practically made it invisible.
He quickly descended the steps, reaching the small lookout tower on top. Grabbing a spy glass he pears out at the sea. Sure enough, five boats, loaded for bare. He could see that about three of the boats were loaded with troubleshooters, one with bombardiers, and one with technomites. He lowered the glass and quickly jogged back down the steps. Reaching the bottom he started on a fast walk for the board room.
OOC: Everything happens that that happened, because it's late and I'm not writing all of that over again.
A Few Minutes Later...
Zerek stands at the head of the table, his brow wrinkled with worry, his mind deep in thought. He looks from one face to another.
Kay, a small, malnourished urchin girl when she first came to C.L.O.A.K., but with a clever mind and a surprising set of fiery skills, had proved herself to be quite the knight. Well, K.I.T. anyway.
Gloria, his ever-present right hand, er, girl. She was always there when C.L.O.A.K. and he had needed her most. And when reason didn't work, she could always throw a mean, bionic punch.
Titan, always cocky and always grinning, when he wasn't wearing his mask, seemed to have nine lives. After being M.I.A. for 4 years, everyone had assumed he was dead, but here he was.
Toren, always the gal with the plan. She could snipe a wing off of a fly at 30 paces. She sat now, looking wide eyed at him, but Zerek could see her mind working with the everlasting plan machine.
And last, but certainly not least, Emman, not one to talk a lot, he usually let his extraordinary hammer do the talking for him. As hard as his hammer in battle, you would do well not to get him angry. He will pound you into the dust... and about 40 tons of rock.
Zerek's eyes furrow in determination. He would not let what his ancestors had worked so hard to build be torn down by a bunch of fog filled, foul, forgetful, flagrant, flaky fiends, not by a long shot.
"Okay, here's the plan. The Empire seems to be knocking at our door, so we do the only neighborly thing we can do... open the door and let them in."
There our soft gasps and sounds of surprise as the knights look at each other puzzled. "What kind of plan is that?" Emman says, standing up. "Wait,' Gloria, who had been staring thoughtfully ahead, says, standing as well. "I think I know where he's going with this." I look up. "We let them in, but there is no guarantee that they will get back out." She continues, a smile spreading over her face.
I smile back. "Well done. Now we don't have any time to lose! Kay, go sound the alarm, let all the knights know what is going on. Titan, take a handful of knights and sneak down to the beach. As soon as the autos are deployed, sneak on and make sure they are away from the shore. Take them to the other side of the island.
Emman, you take a group and get into position on the left side of the beach, Toren, you get on the right.
Gloria, Me and you will take our groups and position ourselves at the front. We will attack them from three sides at once on my signal." He smirks. "That's one of the autos' weaknesses, they can only attack on direction at a time."
I look around at their eager, fight filled faces." Alright, let's make the Empire pay!"
"Wait," he turns back and look at Titan. "We aren't going to do it?" Titan stretches his hand out towards the center of the table, repeating the words that had been the battle cry of generations of the best warriors in Aethasia. "In clearest day, in foggiest night,"
I stretch my hand out as well. "Let us emerge with our hearts burning bright,"
"Let's help each other to reach new heights," Gloria's voice adds as her hand joins the others.
"Now no machine will escape our site," Emman joined in.
"For those that support lucky's might," everyone joined in, placing there hands in the center of the table.
"Beware our power, THE AETHASIAN KNIGHTS!"
