Since no one said wether I could post various quests or not, I'll just post more than one idea. I tried not too include quests with too many new items, but I did include the more extreme ones just in case it might work out. If I do have to choose, I choose the third one (Warm Winter).
New content required: iced milk (item).
Details: The drink would need ice flowers in order to be made, and then put in a can. Hints could be given when you try to give pure milk to the animals (“They don’t seem to like it. Maybe if it was colder…”) and when you go to the chemistry table (“Great! All I need is a place to put it in to serve it to the animals.”).
Details: Not sure what the intention was with the slime, but if it is affected by fog, adding a fog extinguisher would remove the green glow, if not the entire slime sample. It won’t mix with water, so it must be oily in some way (that’s the result of the second sample), and it would corrode the flower petals (third sample’s results), meaning it’s acidic. The character would say the results out loud, just like they did with Jefferson’s other quests that involved experimentation. Once you get all three results, you get a paper with your notes to give to Lukas.
New content required: rocks (make interactive), slime can (item), notes for Lukas (item).
Details: When you ask Selina to sew up the clothing, she’ll say each coat needs a piece of wool, a piece of fur and a patch kit. Once you get her four of each, she’ll give you four coats, which you can then give to the urchins and Georgia. Georgia’s could have a special color or something (for example, hers is orange since she likes Edmund so much). Once she receives hers, she would say there are actually two in the pile you have her, and that you can keep one.
New content required: winter coats (item), winter coat outfit (optional as a reward).
Details: The door would be a bookcase door, but you wouldn’t be able to go through it yet. Like the blocked off gates at the Old Tower or in the west area of Jefferson’s lab, this would just be a possible access to a new area in future episodes. To synchronize the movement of the gears, you would need to insert 10 gearboxes. To manually move the bookshelf (which would need to become interactive), the character would say they’re not strong enough to move it themselves, and would need to seek out Edmund for his assistance. Once he moves the left bookshelf a bit further to the left, a metal door would be visible. You would then grease it with oil. The third task could also consist of adding metal patches in some way, since they’re not used very often. No new items would be required, but there would need to be a door, the interactive bookshelf and an animation inside the lab of Edmund pushing the shelf. In order to make the quest longer, you might have to speak to Julian for him to convince Edmund to help out the Resistance, or give him an item for his racer so he’ll help you back.
New content required: door (item in room), Edmund animation.
Some concepts on an external link for the sake of size. Hope you enjoy reading through them, even if nothing gets picked, and thanks again for all your hard work and attempts to make the whole Aetherlight experience more fun and engaging!
