Hello, everyone! This topic was inspired by @Silverclaw_Bonnetfolly1, who voiced a desire for an accountability partner to do daily Bible reading with.
It's so important for Christians (especially today's youth) to read their Bibles daily. God is not silent; He speaks to us through His word. The Bible is a source of guidance, comfort, conviction, and blessing. Reading the Bible every day may sound boring, tedious, or like too much work, but it's well worth forming the habit now. When your life is founded on the Bible, your faith will grow. You'll hear God's voice and be able to distinguish it from all the others clamoring for your attention.
This topic can be used to find accountability partners and post Bible reading schedules. I also think it would be good to have a community Bible reading schedule—something simple that anyone can jump on board and do. Having the knowledge that others are reading with you is very encouraging.
My suggestion is to read one chapter of Proverbs every day. The chapter number corresponds with the day of the month. For example, on the first day of the month read Proverbs 1, on the second day read Proverbs 2, and so on. Months with less than 31 days will miss out on the blessings of Proverbs 30 and 31, but since I'm not a Roman emperor and cannot add days to months, there's not really anything I can do.
Reading the Bible every day is hard. You might miss a day or several, but don't get discouraged. Sometimes it takes months to form a new habit. Keep persevering, and you will be blessed.
So...do you accept the challenge?
