I don't want to move on, but as for me personally, I've nothing left to contribute. It's really hard to keep going on here, especially when we've lost many of our energetic people. Aislinn's kinda here, but not really. Hanna's visits are getting less and less frequent. Especially after Goku left, the Forums haven't been the same.

Maybe it's time to let the forums die off. Maybe not completely, cause I always love talking to you guys, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has other things to do. Write a book like Aislinn. Write some music. Enjoy life. If anyone wants to talk, talk here or on chess. But as for role-plays, I think those are definitely doomed.

I maybe sound pessimistic, but as all pessimists say, I'm only being realistic.

If you look at things from that perspective, then yes, the forums are doomed. Yes, role plays shall die. Yes, everyone will eventually leave and find better things to do in real life.

However, I see a different future.

You've been on the forums since 2017. You've seen it at it's prime and can easily compare the present with the past. However, just because the past is gone, doesn't mean we can't have a better future, or a better present.

It's alright if you want to leave, if the forums gives you no joy anymore, no one is forcing you to stay. We'd like you to, but we won't pitch temper tantrums if you have better things to do.

We will never regain the old forum members, the forums will never be the same as the Golden Age, but that doesn't mean we should give up and watch it die.

The forums are only as much as we make it! We can and will make something better. Not just for ourselves, but for the future generation!

Well, to me, creating double accounts without necessarily introducing them to the forums is always another way to enjoy the game again - especially if we don't remember much of the quest-line from our main character.

Although, the Junkyard, Greenshade Caverns and the Abandoned Labs are all inaccessible, so there will be a point where we no longer can quest. That being said, I give you my blog article that I created a while ago, A Max Level's Guide to Boredom Relief. (At least, I'm pretty sure that was what it was called.)

I have to get going, but I'll explain more in a bit!

Yeah, but what is there to do? The Aetherlight staff haven't been productive lately, so it's unlikely we'll get Ep. 4 anytime soon. Are we supposed to keep reviving role-plays? Or make new role-plays? Or are we just supposed to keep chatting like as in the old times? I definitely don't want to leave, but I can't see the brighter future here. Which is kinda funny. I thought the way I would go out was with a bang at the prime of civilization. Not because the place where I spent the last few years became a ghost town.

gulps Uhhhh... Ok, some of you have kinda discussed this slightly. But I think the main priority here is to come back to the main focus. The Aetherlight. It does kinda seem like the topics here have become broader. Yes. Of course, we can discuss other things! But also, think first; why do we even have this forum? Why did the Aetherlight Staff create it? For the Aetherlight. I'm not saying, oh yeah, let's just totally stop talking about anything other than the Aetherlight. I'm just saying, I think the forums have grown a little off topic.

As for finishing RPs! No! I think we can continue with them. But NARP RPs like (Sorry if this offends you but it's just my general opinion) Mountain Peak RP, or maybe Star Wars/Aetherlight type RPs should not be here. Which leads back to my point. Most things should be Aetherlight based. Not too much of Randomness. As I've looked back into the past, that's what I've seen. Maybe keep just Aethesian RolePlays, nothing more, nothing less.

AS for doubles, Yes! They are sooo fun! I have more than eight accounts for it! But as I've slowly realized. They're lies, deception, and just totally wrong. You are playing a with what people think about the character, feelings, and I think it's pretty wrong. Also, it loses connection with everyone else. As someone else said, (I've been reading too much I can't remember who said it), how can be sure who you're talking to is not a double. You don't know if you're talking to a lie. So ultimately, your just not open or connected with anyone. Anyways, how can you trust someone who's just lying straight to your face?

Spam, ok, that's a hard one. I think you guys know that I love Spam. It's hard for me to say this but, it does kinda need to go. But I don't think all together! Maybe a little spam here and there would keep us from having... YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING FORUMS! I just don't think overload is good.

As for the Aetherlight, the game, I gotta just put it in short words, We need the Second Season. I've been waiting for over a year, other people even longer and, It's hard keeping your interest in something that does give it's interest back. Or feeds you back. It's like having a friend, why would you want to have a One-sided relationship. Where one friend is constantly talking to the other (Or annoying) and just giving too much in. While the other is like talking to a wall. Nothing responding. I know Scarlet Studios is having trouble with the money side of the game. Maybe it just needs more prayer. But I know you cannot stay in a relationship forever when no one responds...

Or maybe this is the end. It's all God's will. Maybe the Aetherlight isn't getting funds because God doesn't will it. I'm not saying this is definitely the reason. I don't believe it myself. Although, it could be the reason.

You have a few, correct? I know one is Life of a Bonnetfolly. Why not continue your role plays? Or make new ones if you so choose.

Or do you have new ideas? What does this forum lack that you could bring to it?

Truth be known, Toren. However, I think there's more to the Aetherlight then Scarlet City Studios or the game itself.

See all of those black figures in the background? I've looked at this picture before and wondered why there's a a line of people. Why are a bunch of shadows pictured in the back ground?

Because, they're us! All of us who love the Aetherlight! We're the Resistance! We make the forum community, all of our posts, topics, role plays. Yes, the forums have problems, but we aren't going to die with them!

The only issue out of our control is the absence of episode four, everything else can be changed. However, lack of forum creativity is an issue, but it's also fixable. You can fix it. Anyone with inspiration can! However, inspiration is hard to come by these days. We'll be working on that.

This forum lacks plenty of things:
1. Episode 4.
2. Role-plays where everyone can actually play off each other like the old times. (like AMH)
3. Dynamic participants

Not to be weird but I love you guys so much.

Being around since 2016 I feel like the forums have changed but not in drastic ways. It doesn't feel like it's falling apart. We have always had days where no one is here but that hasn't changed how the forum is. Yes it used to be just questions but turning away from being a just question forum hasn't killed us. I feel like if we had stayed a just question forum with the game not being released for this long, than that would have killed us. We would have nothing to ask questions about because the answers are already here. I don't regret that we made Random Anything and started our Role Plays, do I wish that there was more we could do for Scarlet City other than pray and bring people to the game, yeah. But I won't regret what these forums have become because I would not be the person I am today if I did not have these forums to come to and grow from.

It's a new day you guys. A new day that will being new hopes and new changes, whether those changes are for the better or worse.
