Well, it's part of it, but it isn't the entire reason. There are a lot of causes for the current state of the forums. How Christward affects it is the split community. Many forumers converse there instead of here. However, that can't be help or prevented.

I've seen this happen on every community I've watched, people join the community forum and get so engrossed into it that they don't notice what's happening in the actual program the forum was made for. Chatting slowly keeps getting out of hand and people slowly forget figuratively what the forum was about, meaning they know what the forum is about, but don't talk about it much. When this happens, the community starts to realize that their forum is, in a matter of speaking, "shattering". Actually, on another forum study I'm doing now, a new group of people have recently joined the forum causing it to sway towards a more on-topic state.

as much as i love to participate in role plays or read through them, i feel like they are sort of taking over the forums. People cant keep up with the ones we already have, so the slightly older ones get abandoned and the new ones take over. If this keeps up.... i dont know, but i think this could be the destruction of the forums. Part of the prolblem is that they are becoming less amd less aetherlight based. I love everyones creativity and talent in this field. I dont know... this role play kind of seams like other role plays. does anyone else feel this way? I am so bad at writing posts like this..... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY! i just dont know a better way to say this.... there is nothing WRONG with them.... i dont know. Does anyone undestand what im trying to say?

I do, and I've seen it too. I have several older free for alls that have been silent for a while (mostly because I'm not adding to them).

What if we went through and renewed some of the older free for alls?

I've actually looked back at old Role plays and even tried to kick start them, but I am not very accepted in roleplays so I thought, what's the point?
