I’m not going to say the Pentecostal church doesn’t have issues. I’m just talking about what I have read regarding people speaking in tongues which is a gift of the Spirit. You yourself understands that gifts of the Spirit still move. Why should one and not another?

But if someone is praying to God how do they know it's a " heavenly language" or not just them Making it up in their own minds? Right now if you just open my mouth & say what I think sounds like "speaking in tongues " is but it could just be babbling. How do they know they're speaking in heavenly tongues & do you have any bible verses to back up that Christians can speak in heavenly tongues?

I guess 1 Corinthians 14:2 does that could be considered prayer but it just sounds strange if you're babbling speaking of heavenly language and you don't really know what you're saying.
I'm just going to leave it as I don't think it happens a lot it may happen but I do not believe that it's something that happens every Sunday at church. And speaking in tongues shouldn't be the main focus of going to church or having speaking in tongues revolve around everything in the church I believe a church can you speaking in tongues but I don't think that that's supposed to be the main focus of their Ministry. I heard of a man from my church that's spoken tongues apparently when he went on a missionary trip to a different country and he was just able to speak in their language when he was sharing the gospel to other people that I can believe was speaking in tongues.

It's also not just the fact that planetshakers speaks in tongues it's because I googled planetshakers false teaching to see if any other Christian churches had something to say about what they believe and they were saying that the people at planetshakers church are really into spiritual healing and speaking in tongues and miracles and that their gospel message kind of reflects the same thing as the Bethel Church so because they also have that with them I would not believe that they're using speaking in tongues in the correct way.
I'm sure there's some Christians in that church but the gospel message isn't just about prosperity healing miracles and speaking in tongues those are gifts that God can give people but the focus is supposed to be loving Jesus Christ and living for him and sometimes living for Jesus means losing things not prosperity but the opposite it might mean poverty so we can't promise all Christians that becoming a Christian and living a Christian life means that you're going to have prosperity.

Upon research I answered my own question who knows if these opinions are true but someone said that they do not properly speak in tongues at planetshakers either way I am not Pentecostal so I would not go to a Pentecostal Church I think the evangelicals are more in line. I'm sure there is still some Born again Christians in that church I'm not going to judge them on that.

It's honestly kind of upsetting when I YouTube Christian music and I think I'm listening to songs that are Christian and then I take the time to do research on their churches like I used to listen to Bethel church or Elevation church & Hillsong by I stopped & planetshakers too because I find out that they have a lot of false teaching in their Church as well. I'm just trying to guard my heart and trying to be careful that I'm not singing songs and listening to false teaching but it's hard because if you type Christian songs and songs pop up you might just automatically think they're a Christian song I'm sure God forgives Christians for listening to songs that might not be from a real Christian church if they don't know any better but I wish that there would be more Christian churches that would make better Christian music like the false teaching churches do. Like I'm not going to lie Hillsong, Bethel, and elevation have some really catchy Beats but why can't a god-fearing church that doesn't have false teachings make the same type of music? They always make songs that don't have a good beat

It's hard to find good music maybe I should just listen to nothing for a while.

I got in on this convo late, but do you believe speaking in tongues is false teaching, or just think they are going about it wrong?

I do not think it's false teaching I just think that they're doing it wrong because they speak in tongues and nobody interprets I personally never seen anyone speaking intense before but I know that it has happened and it does happen in churches today but sometimes Pentecostal churches focus on speaking in tongues and they don't do it the right way.

I do agree. There is a lot that goes into it though, my Dad you tell you all about it. (He's a pastor).

Hey @Miss_E3, I think the way you are being careful about what you listen to is awesome! I usually look through the lyrics of a song before I decide if I like it. I am not sure that I would throw out the song just because a person who sings it also teaches something questionable. I am more concerned with that the song itself teaches.

Thank you for saying that I didn't really think about that to be honest but I guess it's true that if their song does sound like a worship song and it doesn't have anything wrong about it I guess I could still listen to it besides if I'm singing it or listening to it in the right heart and I do mean it in the right intentions and I guess it's okay.

I don't listen to Bethel or elevation music because I see major flaws in their doctrine & churches but I do occasionally listen to Hillsong because it's not as bad as there's, like I would still believe there's real Christians in the Hillsong church but the Bethel & elevation beliefs are a little bit too extreme for me to feel comfortable listen to their music.

I guess it's the same with planetshakers I don't believe in speaking in tongues but their worship song doesn't have anything in it talking about speaking in tongue so I guess what you said makes sense.

For example they have this song called Lemme Tellya by planet boom and it really sounds like it's saying the truth it's talking about Jesus Christ, God the Father, God the son saying that he's three and one.

so I guess you are right and it doesn't mean that people are not Christians in the planetshakers church I just feel like the pentacostals maybe just believe that they're speaking in tongues the right way because it's been passed down from generation and generation in their church denomination.

and I don't hate the planetshakers or be like that's a bad Church don't go there in fact the same thing for Bethel & elevation, instead I pray for them and that if there's false teaching in the church may God teach the false teachers the truth, or get other Christians from different church denominations to kindly lead them to the true teachings of biblical doctrine.

If they are truly 100% false teachers that would be sad but the good news would be if they actually stopped teaching false teaching and their Church would start leaning more towards the truth my prayers would be for the churches to get back in line with God's word not to condemn them but to pray for them.
