If you click on the photo I attached of Avicii above he said he called himself that because it means the lowest level of hell & he thinks it's cool.
Whether it's buddist hell or not, should A Christian listen to music who thinks it's cool to call himself after the lowest level of hell?
Just like his lyrics may be clean, but in my opinion saying " even God doesn't know where I'm going and I sure as he(ck) don't care " sounds a lot more offensive to a Christian than someone singing and saying the f word. Just like I'm sure there's a lot of clean Buddhist worship music but as a Christian would you think it's okay to listen to Buddhist music?
Pretty sure the Bible says you CAN'T serve two masters.
If you Google " Avicii even God doesn't know where I'm going and I sure as he(ck) don't care " it will show you the lyrics and which song it's from.
For the song Wake me Up it portrays two girls in a small country town that both have tattoo symbols on them they are rejected in the small town because they are too futuristic, they go to the city and she is automatically accepted and included in the group of people she finds who also have the mark tattoo on them. To me it seems very symbolic to the mark of the beast and other people were commenting saying it seems like that as well.
In the video they're all wearing the mark of Avicii AKA The Mark of the lowest level of Hell AKA kind of sounds like symbolic for the mark of the beast.
In the video the people who have the tattoo mark on them are the ones that look like the cool ones while the old fashioned country folk look like the losers because they don't have the tattoo mark on them.
Whether he purposely tried to do that or not he's trying to make it look cool for everyone to have a symbol tattoo on them conditioning ppl in the future to think getting the mark of the beast is cool cuz it's futuristic & modern, but being a Christian is old fashioned & lame.
Ignorance is bliss I used to love his music until I found out what his name means and I actually watched one of his music videos and saw how dark they really are I regret listening to his music and being so naive to think that secular music isn't against God. You can clearly see what side Avicii plays his music for. If it's not for God it's for the devil.
