I feel the same way many times. I like For King and Country, Josh Garrels, dc talk, Rich Mullins, and Michael Card. (The latter two especially are older music but they aren’t the same ol’ same ol’ you hear on the radio.)

For me, I love to hear rap and rap-like songs. Or encouraging hip-hop songs which are pretty much christian rap... I feel empowered and motivated when I hear those songs, with the fast words or the deep notes from bass.

I really feel that! Hip-hop is something I was never exposed to when I was younger, and now it’s one of my favorite genres (the clean kind only, that is!). Rap if done right can hold so much power, and the beats are great for dancing. Have you heard of the group Beautiful Eulogy? I can’t recommend them enough—they are a Christian rap group, and their lyrics beat every other Christian artist’s I’ve heard, no exaggeration. I recommend checking out “An Open Letter to Whoever’s Listening” from their Satellite Kite album for introduction—also their entire “Worthy” album is FIRE.
