Wow, this is really cool! At first, I had mixed feelings about this whole thing. Hans and Sierepica brought up some really important points, but I do agree that as long as we have a good moderator group and everyone isn't trying to publicize this forum too much at the outset, the forum shouldn't run into too much trouble, if any. (I also like Sierepica's idea of a locked forum. If you really don't want any trouble, that could be one way to go.)
I mean, if you want to grow the community by having other Christians join (which if I remember correctly, you do) then it's fine to promote it. But I'd recommend that, when this new forum starts, we should probably take it easy first and have those from this forum (Aetherlight) get settled in first and then start promoting the forum to others or those we know after we've settled in. That way we can get the forum started and have topics for visitors to see that we're actually active on the forum, and also it'll give moderators time to sort out topics and get those of us from the Aetherlight settled into the new forum.
(And speaking of mods, if you don't already have anyone in mind yet. . . .
If you want, I can send you a "résumé," haha, but I hope I can be of consideration to you. If not, that's totally fine. I shall still support and try to help this new forum out in whatever way I can!)
