Everest crashed forcefully into the charred ground a short distance away. Arcstorm hurried forward, propping up the other dragon's right wing to help him stand.
"Arcstorm—" Everest's gaze landed on Levreshar. "Why are there two of you?"
Seraphine stifled a snicker, then pretended to be absorbed in cleaning her claws. Levreshar, however, took a defensive stance. "You know him?" he asked.
"Yes," Arcstorm replied. "He's a good dragon."
"There sure are a lot of you."
This time Seraphine snorted.
"Is he your brother?" Everest asked, shaking his head as if disoriented.
Arcstorm glanced at Levreshar. "It would appear so." He addressed Everest again. "How did you escape?"
"I caught Abraxas off guard, but he will be back. So be cautious."
Seraphine's eyes widened. There was still an enemy in the area. "If that's the case, we should stay together. We're stronger as a group. Perhaps we should also find a safe place to recover and plan." She said recover with a sidelong glance at Everest. "Do you know where the hunters went, Everest?"
