I really liked how they answered so many questions on how he survived the sarlaac. I thought the episode didn't really go anywhere in the further storyline, but they did have to touch on his backstory, which they did wonderfully. Long story short, I think the show might not be better than Mando, but it will still be spectacular.

I heard that it gets better as it goes. I've liked the first two episodes reasonably ok.

I actually really enjoyed BoBF, I was surprised so many didn't like it. I mean I would say the Mandolorian was better, imo, (and that might be just because of extended Baby Yoda Grogu playtime) but I enjoyed both.
