Missy Vonheart is pouring a cup of tea for her guest, Mr. Angleheart (T2), who is having a difficult time deciding which pastry to eat first.

I tried to make it accurate based off of the descriptions and reference pictures Missy had for her shop, but I really didn't have a-lot of info to work from. It turned out a bit darker than I wanted, a usual mistake I make. -rolls eyes- And in retrospect, if Missy and T2 switched seats the colors would flow better. But I thought a couch was more feminine seat in some way, lol.

Oh, and guess who's snoozin' under the cushions?

I have only shared my Aetherlight-related art, but I know most of you like cats (I adore them) so I thought someone might be interested in this piece in particular.

You did a great job with the gender! Male cats have heavier facial features and you captured that so welllll.

The kitty picture is drawn with Prismicolor pencils blended with hand sanitizer. My paper smells of Eucalyptus Blossom. I have never hear of the technique before, but pencil blending is so cool! I am going to get myself some proper blending solvent, but hand sanitizer works well in a pinch.

I heard baby oil works really well too! I personally tried using coconut oil for blending; it didn't turn out half bad!

I like the oil blending as well, and the coconut oil in particular. The only downside is that it doesn't layer well.

The word awesome is always misused and replaced for, "Cool!"

But the word literally means "To put you in a state of awe.", like Victoria Falls, but Cool does not do that.
So when I say "Awesome" I mean the Victoria Falls kind!

Update!

Anyone remember that Aetherlight comic I was working on? Well, I am halfway done with the last panel. There are only three flipping panels, but I set my standards high, which is why it is taking so long to finish. Oh, and there were birthdays, holidays, work, school, more work, and Christmas coming around way to fast (IMNOTREADYYET).
Anyways, I wonder if I'll finish it this year. No promises.

Yes, that is correct. GIMP 2, to be precise. I wanted to experiment with digital art, and GIMP is free and offers a very wide variety of tools. It probably is not the best digital art program out there, and I'd probably give it a 6 out of 10 for user-friendliness, heh.
