(OOC: I'm gonna to 3rd person point of view now...it sounds cooler
)
Ariella and @Arona_Copperburst1 climb onto a dark rooftop, and Ariella scopes out the section of the city that she and her sister had been assigned to.
Ariella had never been to Evercity before, just seen it from a distance or heard tell of it from the other Resistance recruits. As she looked through the eyepiece of her sniper rifle, Ariella turned over the details of their latest misadventure in her mind. Scarlett had lost a special necklace that held dangerous secrets. The mission would have been relatively easy--had not certain details, like which specific automatons were carrying the necklace, been so ambiguous. There were hundreds of them patrolling throughout Evercity! Ariella just had to narrow the groups down to just the ones heading to the castle in the center of Evercity. Through the eyepiece, Ariella's gaze landed on a group of automatons walking toward the castle along a central street. There was a suspiciously large number of them in that group. That had to be it--unless it was a diversion. Ariella considered this, her near-forgotten strategical training from her Academy days coming back to her at this opportune moment. It could be a diversion, but seeing as how no one knew they were in the city yet, it wasn't very probable.
"You think that group of automatons are the ones carrying the necklace?" Ariella asked Arona.
"It could be. We should tell Scarlett," Arona replied.
Ariella nodded, still looking through the scope of her rifle.
Then her vision caught on a group of automatons chasing something through the streets of the city--that something appeared to be Jefferson, or at least a holographic rendition of him. Well, so much for being unnoticed. Everyone automaton in the city would be on alert now. The mission had just gotten a whole lot harder.
Ariella's communication device rang, and she relayed her findings to Scarlett.
"You think the automatons heading for the castle are a diversion?" Scarlett asked.
"Well, we managed to slip in unnoticed, but someone triggered an alarm," Ariella replied.
"Yeah, we kinda ran into a bunch of clankers," Aislinn's voice said.
"Since when have you been tactically-minded, Ariella?" May said.
Ariella realized that everyone in their little Evercity invasion force was in on this call, including May. "Uhhh...I don't know. I must be getting less crazy."
"You definitely weren't like that before. I mean, remember when you ran into that evil cape guy's hideout screaming a battle cry? That wasn't very tactical," May pointed out.
"It was the forgotten labs, you two, not Richard's hideout. Anyway, we need to hurry. Everyone meet at the marketplace east of the castle to intercept that automaton group," Aislinn said.
"Got it," Arona said, and then she and Ariella hurried to comply.
