Today I had on a light green-and-white resistance beret instead of my usual top hat of sorts. I flopped on my bed and grabbed a book, The Chronicles of The Phantom read the title. "Nah. Read it." I wondered aloud. I sat up and petted my slightly stupid cat Skippy. He mewled angrily and swatted and my hand. "Oh come 'ere you." I mused, and grabbed the poor snuff around the belly and hoisted him up until I held him like a baby.
My Mother yelled at me from the kitchen, "Go and check the mail with you Ell?" I groaned and dropped the cat. "Mom you know I don't like it when you call me by my middle name. I slouched into the room and grabbed a coat. "Fine, Stanley Queen of Scots. Don't slouch like that, bad for your posture." I mumbled "Whatever" and walked outside.
It was a nice misty day, not foggy mind you. Fog around these parts was green, but I was happy to say the mist had a slight purpleness to it. I scrambled up to the mailbox and yanked down the lid. Bills, a small package, and invite for me, wait. What? I snatched up all the mail and headed inside. I opened up the letter and it said,
