Sam looked at me and Luna for a moment, and then he was off. I ran after him leaving a wide-eyed Luna in the class room. I followed him all the way through the garden to the gate. Running full speed at the closed gate I saw him bend down quickly and pull something out of his boot. My eyes narrow,
a teleporting device! I should've known.
"Meow!" I hear behind me and I whip around to find Willow looking at me quizzacly.
"Oh, it's just you."
"I know I know I just...never mind." I turn back to Sam and find that he's gone!
"What?! Where did he go?!" I carefully look around to make sure he isn't hiding, then I walk up to the gate.
"If only I brought my teleportation senser, then I could find out where he went!"
I study the gate carefully and put my hands on it, searching for some hint of a clue. Suddenly, without warning, Sam appeared right in front of me and slumps forward, knocking me down.
"Ahh! Where did you come from!" I asked as I pull myself out from under him. I hear a purr and look up to see Willow trying to hold back a laugh. I scowl at her and turn back to Sam, who's not moving.
"He...hello?" I lift his head and find his eyes closed and his face pale. I take a deep breath and hoist Sam's body over my shoulder. I struggle into the lobby of the academy and dump Sam's body on the carpet. Luna rushs in and gasps when she sees Sam, her face turning white.
"Is he-" she asks in a scared voice.
"No, he's not dead." I say and she breaths a sigh of relief.
"He's breathing easily, I don't know what happened, it's like he's...asleep."
Luna tilts her head, "Asleep? How could he be asleep? He was running just s few minutes ago!"
I look at Sam and sigh, "I don't know, but I'm going to find out." I get up from sitting on the stairs and pick up Sams body again. Then I try to go up the stairs, only to fall back down again.
"Need any help?" I hear Luna giggle.
"Yah, I'd love some." I say from underneath Sam.
We both manage to get Sam to my room, and we lay him down on my bed.
"I have all my medical equipment here, he should be awake in a few nanoseconds!"
I pull out my nurse gear and start to check all over Sam's body for injuries. Except for a few bruises he'd gained from falling down the stairs, he was completely fine. As I was working Willow came up to the room.
who is THAT?! And WHY is he in MY room!
he's my patient Willow, I'm trying to get him to wake up.
what if he's a criminal?
I roll my eyes and sigh, he is not s criminal, I know him!
Willow hmphes and lies down for a nap.
After a few tests I concluded that he must be awaken by Aether. I checked my Aethermeter and to my great suspense it was half full!
"I don't remember collecting any Aether! This is great! I have enough for my project now!" I start to get out my things when I suddenly remember.
"Oh, but I need Aether for Sam...I'm sure it doesn't take that much Aether to wake him up!" I sprinkle a tiny amount of Aether over Sam and wait.
Nothing. I dash a bit more. Nothing. I frown, looking at my Aethermeter. I only had a quarter left. I sigh and look longingly at my desk with my project on it. Then I turn back to my friend. I close my eyes and pour my whole Aethermeter on Sam.
I wait for a few seconds. Nothing. I sigh,
"Oh well, I guess I just wasted my Aeth- oh!" I never finished the sentence because at that moment Sam gasped and bolted upright.
