Help...I am in episode 2 and I cannot find the aetherstone. Where is it?

Hello, @Dawn_Nelsen! Welcome to the forums.

I'm not too sure about where it is but I'll give you a hint... It's the first place you landed in the game on the Aetherstep. Think beaches.

Again, I'm not sure since I haven't done this mission for a while. If I'm not right, please let me know and we'll see if we can figure it out.

I think Dawn is talking about the gem that is needed to craft the Aethermeter.

Ok like by the old mount then look for a rock with a little thread of scarlet then pick that up!

There is no scarlett thread by the entrance to the old mount.

We haven't found anything on the beach. People keep telling me to look for a scarlett thread by the old mount...but nothing is there either. Frustrated! Help!!
