Good news. Your days of having trouble with the Aetherlight launcher are over (If you have Windows).

1. Go to C:\Users\ {user}\AppData\Roaming\TheAetherlight\PROD\WIN\3.2.186. If you can't find 'AppData' go to the 'view' tab on your 'File Explorer' and tick the box that says 'hidden files' or type '%APPDATA%' into your search bar and click the folder option.

2. Click the application that says '

   
   TheAetherlight.'

3. The game will open straight to the login screen.

4. While in the login screen go to the Aetherlight settings and uncheck the 'Fullscreen' box.

5. Look in the task bar at the bottom of the screen, right-click the Aetherlight tab you currently have open.

6. Click 'Pin to task-bar'

Now the Aetherlight will stay in your task-bar so that when you need to run the Aetherlight simply click it to start the Aetherlight like any other app, bypassing the launcher. Just like on IOS.
If anyone could figure out a tutorial to do this on Mac it would be helpful, but I can't because I don't currently have a Mac with Aetherlight on it.

See all the users currently online at the same time!

1. Go to this link: https://forums.theaetherlight.com/groups/trust_level_0?desc=true&order=last_seen_at
2. Click where it says 'seen' on the upper right side of the chart of users.
3. Click again, since the first time you click it, it will return the people seen the longest time ago.
4. After clicking again you should see all the people currently on the forums.

Don't waste time going onto people's accounts to seen if they are active. Now you simply have to follow the above instructions and see all the currently active people in one place. An even faster way to do it is by going to this link: https://forums.theaetherlight.com/groups/trust_level_0?desc=true&order=last_seen_at. This link shows the most recent people without you even having to press anything.

How to get Aetherlight on Linux

1. Download the Aetherlight here: [https://content.theaetherlight.com/prod/WIN/TheAetherlight-v242.zip]
2. Extract all from the .zip file.
3. Make sure the Aetherlight.exe file is in the same folder as the App_Data folder, but not in it.
4. Open a Terminal and type:
   wine
   then drag-and-drop the exe file into the terminal and the path will appear. Press return and the Aetherlight will open. Congratulations, you got Aetherlight to run on Linux.

How to make the Aetherlight mouse cursor your default cursor

1. Download the above file.
2. Convert the file to the .cur format at this website and download it [https://convertio.co/png-cur/]
3. Move the file to C:\Windows\Cursors.
4. Type 'mouse' into the Windows search bar.
5. Click 'mouse settings'.
6. Look in the right-hand corner of the settings app under 'Related Settings' and click 'Additional mouse options'.
7. Go to the top of the page that opens and click 'pointers'
   
8. Select the 'Normal Select' option and click 'Browse'.
9. Locate and select the .cur file that you moved to C:\Windows\Cursors
10. Press okay and, hey, presto!

How to: DIY Functional Aetherlight Stickers for iOS

Show off your favorite fandom with these DIY Aetherlight stickers for iMessage!

1. Download You Doodle - draw on photos from the app store. It’s free! (I have the pro version now—it’s totally worth it if you’re into that kind of thing!)
2. Long-press on any Aetherlight emoji that has been posted, or is shown in your post preview. A “Save Image” button will pop up. Click it! Repeat for as many emojis as you would like to be stickers.
3. Enter You Doodle. Click File>Import>Edit a Photo>Camera Roll> and choose an emoji.
4. No editing necessary—all you have to do is click File>Save>Stickers.
5. Repeat at will. You can use any image for a sticker!

To organize your stickers’ order and categorize them, click the tool box to the left of the “You Doodle” at the top of the screen. Select Organize Stickers. Tap once on a sticker to delete or favorite it. Drag it to change its place in the order.

To use your new stickers, enter iMessage. Scroll through the dock (pictured) and select the You Doodle icon.

Go into the Custom tab. Long press and drag a sticker to any message you’ve sent, then release. You can expand and rotate the stickers by using two fingers.
You can also tap on any sticker and it will send like an image.

This tutorial is perfect! I’ve already made stickers for the emojis, badges, and even my avatar! I’m experimenting stickers with other Aetherlight images, including this one of the Postman giving a thumbs up. Here’s the png for it in case anyone wants it.

It's in your root user directory on Windows.

Oh, I just realized what you are doing. The App_Data folder is bundled in the .zip file with the game.

To get to app data press the Windows Button+R, then type in AppData and enter. That's how I get to mine

I got it to run but since i don't run it with the launcher it doesn't update.

Yeah, you have to URL guess for the latest version of the zip file. My desktop version is 3.3.254. I tried [https://content.theaetherlight.com/prod/WIN/TheAetherlight-v210.zip], so the latest version is probably [https://content.theaetherlight.com/prod/WIN/TheAetherlight-v325.zip] or thereabouts. This reinstallation has to be done regularly. Linux is fun.

I got it to run using the .exe from the Windows on my PC.
I think that in the future I'll have to switch to Windows for any updates then copy it to Linux.
