I've looked at the episodes, and well, from my standpoint, I just don't see how 19 episodes can be put into 5. If they were shorter, maybe, but these are a bit to long for merging.

I really think it would be hard to jam all the details and places into shorter episodes. It would be possible if we take out some places and scenes, but that kinda ruins the story as a whole.

@Jacoby_Elderfun1 I understand, though I’d still like to see if there’s a way we can adapt it into a more animation-friendly form, considering that it is just a one-man operation right now. I also think the solution that you proposed is a good one, and it’d be an interesting concept to have 2-3 series alternating, featuring different artists and art styles for different role-plays (maybe even CGI). We would definitely need more animators to do this, and so this idea should only be adapted if enough artists are willing to take part.

@Jacoby_Elderfun1 I agree with your idea. It would be better to alternate series so everyone wouldn't get burned out on the current series.

I know I might sound biased, but... I could see mine and Scarlett's roleplay being an animation that would be fun to work on. It would be switching between our perspectives and places. It's just an idea of course, 'cause I'll be willing to @Ariella_Newheart 's role-play!

That’s a good question. In all honesty, we would need more volunteer animators, especially if we want to speed up the process. And based on the polls, we have people who are willing to submit their role-plays (thanks to those writers!) but without more animators it just isn’t possible to have alternating animated series at this moment.

If you check out Hullabaloo’s team, for example, they have 6 veteran animators, along with other staff, to produce 4 shorts in about a month. This just gives a glimpse into the manpower that it takes to do such a project in a relatively short period of time.

Hey all.

@Jane_Gogglerubble and I were talking about the characters for this animation. I brought up a point of the character switches, like Chris being @Hanna_Brassheart, and Raven being me. I would prefer keeping all of the characters what they are now.

The way I suggest was making it like the real world, actors are the same, they just have different names in the different TV shows or movies they play in. It would be like that for us too. I would play my part in this with a guy character and just a different name. If we ever make another animation, I would play my part in that one too with the sane outfit, but with a new name.

I'm not saying guys are better then girls, or vice-versa. What I'm trying to get at it that I think some parts of The Elderfun Chronicles guys should be playing their parts, and girl's theirs. For instance, the brawl with Lucky and Jacoby, I believe that would better with a male character.

Getting my point?

This would save us some time for future animations if we use the same characters over and over, but as @Jane_Gogglerubble brought up, it would take a lot of extra time to switch as of now. If we wanted to do it this way we would all have to step up and try are hardest to get this done.

I'll explain more depending on which way this goes, but first, a poll:

• I support the idea of keeping the gender of the real life Aetherlight characters the same as they will be in the animation.
• I go against the idea. The character switches won't be that bad and we have a good system now. Lets roll with what we've got.

@Jacoby_Elderfun1 That's a very good point. I was thinking the same thing while writing the episodes. I can totally go back and rewrite all the characters... so, basically what you're saying is that we just switch the genders back to where they were and that's it? Like Raven is you but has a different guy name? Or are you saying that Raven is you with your actual name?

When you tell me the answer I can start rewriting the first five episodes and publish them again. What say you?

Yes, ma'am! That is correct. This would also be the same in the future. Lets say you want your role-play animated by GA. You also have me as one of the characters in your role-play, you would use my character with a different name.

Now this isn't definite. @Jane_Gogglerubble is going to make the call.

Based on the polls so far, it looks like we will be switching the character’s back to their original counterparts as in the Elderfun Chronicles but with different names.

@Ilayne_Merespark, if you’re up for rewriting the scripts, that’d be great help!

@Jacoby_Elderfun1 Is the storyboard reusable for the new characters, as long as we replace the characters accordingly in the final animation? Like their actions and dialogue, etc.

Actually, the new Raven is going to look just like me. That's the same with all the characters. We'll be able to use the same characters over and over. The only thing different now is the name changes. That's another reason for changing.

Also, why don't we give the guy names we already had to the guys, and the girl names we already had to the girls?

Another plus about making this an animation is that we'll be able to pair the siblings with last names easier. It's harder in my story because of the last name generator Aetherlight has when you make an account.
