I like the first 10 seconds of #1, especially with the trumpet (?) music and how similar it sounds to one of the Aetherlight soundtracks; however, as the music goes on, the instruments start to clash a bit and sound too packed / jumbled, especially with the overuse of the flute (?) from around 0:15, onward. I love this track and would use this one but maybe lessen the amount of instruments and clashing a little.
For #2, I like how it eases into the music, rather than hitting me with a wave of instruments like in #1, and I like the build at 0:17. I also like how you used pauses at the beginning to create suspense. Song #2 sounds more suspenseful and the timing / introduction of the of instruments seems more successive and appealing to the ears than #1. Only critique I have on #2 is that the building at 0:8 -- 0:16 sounds too rushed. I feel like you built too early and that that part could be dragged out a little more. I.e. maybe loop the first 8 seconds twice (0:00--0:16) before building on it with more instruments. Or loop the first 8 seconds twice and just jump right into 0:17, cutting out the music you made from 0:08 -- 0:16.
They both sound really awesome, and you did a great job with both! But I feel like #1 is too sudden and #2 is more natural. Yet the trumpet (?) in #1 makes the music more exciting; whereas, #2 is more suspenseful. It's hard to choose, but I think #2 wins this.
