Remember what I said about the Snowmoorian Spitting Cobra? Well, I had a similar theory for the Snowmoorian Scorpion. Apart from being cute and fuzzy, Smowmoorian Scorpions have multiple options for self-defense. They have a special organ in the tips of their tales that contains three glands. The first gland, located furthest from the tail, produces a venom akin to the venom of the Snowmoorian Spitting Cobra. This can be left as is and either shot from the tail or injected through a stinger.
However, the venom can also go through one of two other glands in the Snowmoorian Scorpion's tail. It can be chilled by one gland to zero degrees Celsius and freeze as it travels through the air or into a body. It can also be combined with another chemical produced by another gland that causes it to ignite as it travels through the air towards an opponent. The Snowmoorian Scorpion uses it's weapon in ritualistic mating battles as well as in self-defense.
As you have probably guessed, Imperial scientists could not duplicate this organ and had to instead inflict the Scorpistons H07, W37, and 1C3 on the Snowmoors.
The Snowmoorian Scorpion is also know for its soft fur, which is shed in abundance as the creature matures. Other, fur-less, species, such as the Snowmoorian Spitting Cobra, gather this shed fur and use it to line their nests. They do this most often in preparation for laying eggs, or simply keeping themselves warm as they sleep.
