Hi, guys. I don't really like making new topics because I feel like nearly any post can be nestled in Random Anything The Third or Talk ALL YOU WANT, but I noticed the #rave-reviews category hasn't been added to in a really long time.
So, I figured maybe I could cheer up the @staff a bit, even if it's just by my story of how I found (and stayed with) the Aetherlight.
My very first game was a game called Pixie Hollow: Create a Fairy and Fly by Disney, and soon it morphed into Club Penguin and then Pirate101. Once, when we were looking for new games, I tried out this Lord of the Rings game that had all the lands of Middle-Earth and stuff. It was all really cool, except for the chatting feature, where people were cursing up a storm.
So, I swiftly told my parents and they obviously took me off that particular game, but they were trying to help me find a Christian game.
Now, I was so confident that there would be no "quality Christian games" out there, but they were confident that there might be. So, we looked, and found Aetherlight, still in beta. We checked out their website, and it was talking all about steampunk! But my only concern was how "quality" it would be.
After we joined the forums and realized they had role playing, I told my parents all about it, and saying the forums had "quality role plays".
The point I'm trying to make is that nowadays, it's usually either Christian but cheap n' cheesy, or non-Christian but epic quality (Pirate101
), but the Aetherlight defies that and is a Christian game but is still quality.
And, Scarlet City Studios, I commend you guys for that.
