A Color-fuel Solution...Cannot Finish It!

I've been trying to sort this one out for quite a while....couple of weeks. I've got some feathers. But don't know if I need to do something with them to turn them into coils ( or maybe cylinders? I can't remember ) for the one on lower level of L. Any help would be really appreciated. <-- me

What do you use to fill up the tubes on Jefferson's suit?

I think that you might get them from Jefferson. I have really bad memory so maybe not. Especially since it's been a long time from when I did it.

I'm trying to upload photos I took of me talking to Jefferson. I'm on my mobile/cell phone, and they don't want to upload. It keeps saying "Uploading 0% saved.
I can only ask him what three of the colours do, and he described them. Wish it would upload.

Wait, are you on the mission for Rose or for Jefferson?
There's one mission where Jefferson asks you to fill up his coils (which is just the machine at his camp that matches the colors of his suit - it's where he fills them up). Then there's one for Rose on the L where you need to get his unused coils and install them on their engine.

Yes @Wendy_Laddershine It's the one for Rose. But I went to see Jefferson to try to get information about it, the three colours I need. I've tried to upload photos, but it just keeps trying to load and can't. I will try to upload photos. I've tried to, but we've had some Internet issues after a storm last night.

@Margaret_Munce you almost have this puzzle solved.

Just like the Jefferson mission, you need to use an item from your inventory that matches the color (I'm American) of the tube you are trying to fill. Both Jefferson and Rose give hints at the items if I remember correctly.

One problem I ran into is that the item you interact with is actually ON TOP of the old piece of equipment. If you are not interacting with the correct equipment for the quest it will not complete even if you are trying to fuel it with the correct item.
